Why do you work in the field of personal performance improvement?
I’ve always been fascinated with the fact that talent has very little impact on whether you’re successful in your chosen field. With my background in professional football, the best players weren’t the most talented but those with the strongest mind-set to achieve their dreams

Who inspires you most in life and why?
My Dad. Growing up in Belfast in the fifties and sixties was a very dangerous time and yet, I’ve never met a happier person in my life in spite of the ‘war torn’ surroundings he lived in.

What three words would best describe you?
 I’m a rebel.

Where’s your favourite destination and why?
Rome. Not sure why. What have the Romans ever done for us??

If you had a ‘super power’, what would it be and how would you use it?
To be able to go back in time so I could smile at all those coaches told me that I wasn’t tall/good enough to make it to the Premier League.

Which book that you’ve read has had the most impact on you?
Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer. I never knew before reading it that books could give you such incredible pleasure and take you on an epic journey.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Guinness.

What one piece of advice have you learned from others that you would pass on to someone?
I think Nike summed it up most succinctly…
